Privacy & Cookie Policy

My Ghana Life · operated by Caesium Solutions Limited · effective 9 October 2026

This policy explains how Caesium Solutions Limited collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information when you use My Ghana Life.

Caesium Solutions Limited decides why and how that information is used for My Ghana Life, except where a provider such as Paystack decides for itself under its own legal duties.

1. Who this covers

This policy applies to accounts, play, chat, payments, billboards, support, safety, and the cookies needed to run My Ghana Life.

The game is for people who meet the minimum age on the sign-up screen. That minimum is 14 unless a higher age is shown there.

2. Account information

Depending on how you sign up and play, we process the details you give us.

  • Name and username.
  • Date of birth, so we can apply the age check.
  • Password, stored in a protected form rather than as readable text.
  • Email address, if you choose to give one.
  • Account status, referral details, and the time you accepted these documents.
  • Sign-in and security information, including a session.

3. Your character

During setup you may choose man or woman, and other appearance options. We use those choices to show your character and to run the game.

4. How you play

We store what your character does so the city can continue when you come back. That can include your wallet, home, job, needs, venue visits, referrals, billboards, and other progress.

5. Chat and social activity

Where you use social features, we process messages, relationships, blocks, usernames, and reports. Other players can see what you choose to show them, including your name and chat you send them.

Chat is stored so it can be delivered and so we can look into abuse. It is not a channel that we promise is hidden from moderation.

6. Payments

Real-money payments are processed by Paystack. We may receive a transaction reference, amount, currency, status, time, and the product you bought, so we can credit game cedis, place a billboard, and investigate a failed or disputed payment.

Card and mobile-money details are handled by Paystack, not stored by us as a full payment credential. Paystack uses that information under its own terms and privacy policy.

7. Technical information

We process information the service needs in order to run and to stay secure. That can include your IP address, browser type, device characteristics, session data, cookie identifiers, and server logs of requests and errors.

8. What we do not collect for play

We do not collect your real-world GPS location for the game. Where your character stands is a place in the fiction.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use a player’s life outside the game to build an advertising profile.

9. Why we use information

We use personal information to open and protect accounts, save the game, run the economy, take and reconcile payments, deliver chat, investigate reports, enforce the terms, answer support, keep the service reliable, and meet legal duties.

10. Lawful bases

Under the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843), we rely on the basis that fits the activity.

  • Contract: creating your account, saving the game, delivering a purchase, and providing a feature you asked for.
  • Legitimate interests: security, abuse prevention, moderation, reconciling payments, and protecting other players, where those interests are not outweighed by your rights.
  • Legal obligation: duties under Ghanaian law, including accounting and lawful requests.
  • Consent: where consent is the right basis, including a non-essential cookie if we introduce one. You can withdraw that consent where the law says you may.

11. Cookies

Cookies are small pieces of information stored through your browser. My Ghana Life uses cookies that the game needs in order to work.

Necessary cookies

We use these for your session, sign-in, security, load balancing, and to remember a choice that a feature you asked for requires. Blocking them can stop the game from working.

Other cookies

On the live site we use Google Analytics to see which pages people open. Google may store a cookie and receive the page address, browser, and IP address. We do not use advertising cookies that follow you around the web. Where the law requires a choice before a non-essential cookie, we will ask.

12. Advertising in the city

Ads in My Ghana Life are placements in the game world, such as billboards. They are not targeted from your browsing outside the game, and they do not use your real-world location. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask for any consent the law requires.

13. Who we share information with

We share personal information only as far as we need to in order to run My Ghana Life.

Paystack

We exchange payment information with Paystack to start a payment, confirm it, reconcile it, look into fraud, and handle a lawful refund or dispute.

Google Analytics

On the live site, Google Analytics receives page-view information so we can see how the service is used. Google processes that information under its own terms.

Infrastructure

The game is hosted by technical providers that store and process information so the service can run. They receive what they need for that role.

Law and safety

We may keep or disclose information where we need to in order to comply with law, respond to a lawful request, investigate fraud, enforce the terms, or protect players.

A change in the business

If My Ghana Life is transferred or reorganised, personal information may move with that transaction, subject to Ghanaian law.

14. Information outside Ghana

Paystack, Google Analytics, and our hosting providers may process information outside Ghana. Where that happens, we use the safeguards the Data Protection Act requires for a cross-border transfer.

15. How long we keep it

We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the reason we collected it, and for security, accounting, disputes, and legal duties. An active account is kept while you play. Different records can have different periods. When a record is no longer needed, we delete it or separate it from your identity.

16. Deleting your account

You can delete your account from your profile. That removes your login and the character attached to it. Messages and other rows that exist only because of that character are removed with it.

We may still keep payment-provider notices, security logs, and backups for as long as fraud prevention, accounting, or the law requires. Information already held in another player’s own history can remain. Deleting an account does not require us to delete a record the law tells us to keep.

17. Economy records

Wallet entries help the city stay consistent. Where a record has to survive after an account is gone, we separate it from your name and contact details when we can still do that and meet the reason for keeping it.

18. Messages you send

We store chat so we can deliver it, look into reports, moderate the city, and meet legal duties. Do not assume that a message is end-to-end encrypted. We have not promised that.

19. Security

We use measures suited to the service, including access controls, password hashing, sessions, and logs. No online service can promise perfect security.

20. Your rights

Subject to the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843), you may have the right to know how your information is used, to ask for a copy, to correct it, to ask for deletion where that applies, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent where we rely on consent.

You may complain to the Data Protection Commission. Some requests have legal limits. We may need to confirm who you are before we complete a request.

21. Automated checks

Security systems may flag unusual sign-ins, payments, or play. That can lead to an extra check, a limit, or a review by a person. Where the law gives you a right to ask for a person to look at a decision that was made only by automation, we will honour that right.

22. Age

We do not knowingly offer accounts below the minimum age on the sign-up screen. If we learn that an account is under that age, we may close it and deal with the personal information as this policy describes.

23. Email we send

If you give us an email address, we use it for account, security, and transaction messages, such as a welcome note, a receipt, or a password reset. We do not use email as a general advertising list. If we later send optional promotional email, we will provide the choice the law requires.

24. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the game, our providers, or the law changes. The effective date shows when the current version started. A significant change will be communicated in My Ghana Life or by another reasonable means.

25. Contact

My Ghana Life is operated by Caesium Solutions Limited, Ghana. Questions, privacy requests, and rights complaints about these documents can be sent to the operator through the contact details published for My Ghana Life.

You may also complain to the Data Protection Commission of Ghana.
